No, but bug reports don't close themselves. :)  I'm pretty sure this bug
was fixed before the lucid release, and probably before the karmic
release; so if it's no longer an issue for you, I'll close it now.

  Problem on upgrade from Hardy

Status in “sysvinit” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: upstart

  When I tried upgrade from Hardy into Karmic Alpha 6 I got error
  "Couldn't configure pre-depend sysvinit-utils for upstart, probably a
  dependency cycle." and I don't found any solution. Removing of package
  sysvinit-utils don't help.

  sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
  E: Internal Error, Could not perform immediate configuration (2) on sysvinit-utils

  sudo apt-get install  sysvinit-utils
