Title:
  Hibernate fails on Toshiba Satellite SP10-304

Status in “acpi-support” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Under Ubuntu 5.10, upgraded at around 1800GMT 25-Sept-05, on a Toshiba
  Satellite SP10-304 with nothing running but the default desktop,
  select "system" - "log out" - "hibernate the computer". Screen blanks then
  text regarding "stopping tasks" and "freeing memory" appears, then a couple
  of lines saying something like "GTM Info (lots of "f"s)". The screen blanks.
  Power lights remain on and fans run; this state continues indefinitely.
  Machine can only be recovered by holding down the power button until a hard
  reset occurs whereupon a normal cold boot takes place.

  Expected: machine powers off a few minutes after "hibernate" command is
  issued then reboots rapidly into previous configuration on next start.

  Test system Toshiba Satellite SP10-304 #Y3585447G running Phoenix BIOS v1.2;
  originally a P4 2.6 with 256Mb RAM and 30Gb hard disk but upgraded with 40Gb
  Toshiba MK4025GAS hard disk.
