If you are still able to reproduce this on a supported release, apport
should automatically file a new bug and attach the needed log files.

Title:
  installer crashes during partitioning

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Hi, i am installing ubuntu on Toshiba A205-S4629 notebook.

Installer crashes during partitioning (step 4)

I had preinstalled Windows Vista Ultimate, which i decided to delete
  (it has 2 NTFS partitions). Then I create 2 partitions (sda0, sda1),
and while creating third partition i select type "dontuse" (i plan to
install NTFS with another Windows there). After I confirm this,
partition manager crashes (Only the child window with partition
manager stops responding, parent Installer window still works).

Problem is reproducible for me, email me for more specific info
