releases?

  GRUB Loading stage1.5Read Error (maybe wrong LBA autodetect)

Status in “grub” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: reportbug

  Grub do install wrongly in some BIOS (maybe wrong LBA autodetect)

  I have a MB ASUS p4s800d and one IDE DISK 80GB, that Can not Install
  Ubuntu Edgy or Feisty. Only Ubuntu Dapper I can Install correctly.

  I try a fresh install Edgy from Live CD and Alternate Install, both with the same error.
  I try dist-upgrade from Dapper to Edgy and fail too.

  I try fresh install from Feisty with alternate install, with the same
  error.

  The error is, boot from CD or Dist-upgrade and everithing is OK, After boot, the Error appears :
  GRUB Loading stage1.5Read Error

  I try to recover from alternate-install CD, and chrooted / partition
  and re-install Grub without errors, but after boot fail too with the
  same message error. I try to change to LILO to recover this problem.

  Maybe downgrade GRUB version to the same in Ubuntu dapper can resolv
  this problem or Add new option after complete installation to use Grub
  or LILO.
