Which installation media were you using when you tried to install
Ubuntu?  Suspend should be disabled in any Ubuntu live media.

  Raring Suspend on Install

Status in “casper” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Raring 13.04 AMD64
  Compaq Presario CQ62

  When installing Raring, if the system suspends while the packages are
  being installed, then the install is messed up. I must then redo the
  install. I was not able to recover any log files for this bug report.
