  Software updater does not update!

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  While there are packages to be updated, when I press "Install now" I
  get a message to check the internet connection, which of course is ok,
  since apt-get update & upgrade function as advertised!
