javaws is not added to the path probably due to a bug in update-java-
alternatives (part of the java-common package).
** Also affects: java-common

Title:
javaws not in PATH after installing icedtea-netx
Status in java-common - Java Base Files:
New
Status in “icedtea-web” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
I installed icedtea-netx to be able to use webstart. After installing,
webstart exists here: /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/bin/javaws however,
it is not in the PATH and typing "javaws" always tells me to install
the package mentioned before.
I expected to be able to execute "javaws" after following to
instructions printed by the command-not-found helper.
