Title:
  installation fail input/output error

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I tried to install ubuntu it gets to over 50% of formatting the drive
and then it suddenly comes up with the error. On next reboot I am
going to do a system scan. Additional information would be that when I
had windows it took about an hour and a half to boot from pressing the
power button to desktop. That is why I am trying to migrate to Ubuntu
but no luck. If I could fix this problem without getting a new hard
  drive would be the best.
