So, do I understand it correct: Is this problem solved when you use the
newer kernel?

Title:
Fan constantly running on Thinkpad T60

Status in “acpi-support” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Using Hardy/Kubuntu on a Thinkpad T60 laptop.

When the power is plugged in, the fan is running constantly even though only cold air is blown out. When the power cable is pulled out it also takes a while for the fan to slow down or stop.
  Very noisy, very annoying.
