[Bug 1156212] [NEW] package memtest86 4.20-1.1ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

Public bug reported:

Not sure what this is.  
Started upgrade of my 10.4 LTS Kubuntu installation to 12.4.2 Kubuntu.  
Received some error messages, the first of which even indicated a possible failing of the upgrade in the sense that maybe the resulting 12.4 LTS would not boot.  
Luckily however(?) the upgrade did turn out to be successful in the sense that the result is bootable.  

However I have got the niggling feeling that perhaps I am missing some
software.
