Anyone a clue what makes this bug happen?
I just copied my two systems to a new ssd and now I have this problem as well... but I think it worked well before!

It is easy to see even without comparing the uuids, as my old Mint
installation has kernel 3.0.0-13 still:

  linux-boot-prober doesn't take the root partition as kernel root
  paraameter for my karmic installation.

  I suspect that when I try to boot my karmic, it boots the karmic
  kernel with lucid userland -> nothing works.
