Title:
Installation cannot proceed while wired connection is connected.

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Steps to reproduce:

  0. Get a pandaboard, connect ethernet cable before booting.

  1. Boot Quantal installer on it.

  2. Notice there's a notification bubble saying that wired connection
  is connected.

  3. Notice ubiquity says that it recommends being connected to the
internet during installation (grey X indicates there is no
  connection).

  4. Click continue. Ubiquity prompts to connect wirelessly.

  5. Choose appropriate wireless network -- which happens to be the same
router that ethernet is already plugged into.

  6. Enter wifi password. Notice notification bubble indicating that
  wireless connection has been established.

  7. Ubiquity does not proceed to the next step. It simply stays "stuck"
(stuck, but not "hung", as all buttons other than 'continue' are
  responsive).

  8. Notice that each time the continue button is clicked, a
notification bubble pops up indicating wireless disconnects, then
another indicating wireless has reconnected. But Ubiquity still does
not progress past the wifi selection screen.

  9. Disconnect ethernet cable. Click continue again. Notice ubiquity is
able to progress to the next screen now.

So there's two parts to this, really: why doesn't ubiquity recognize the wired pandaboard connection, and why can't it proceed with installation when two connections are established? I guess it's understandable that it might be confused by having two links into the same network, but it's not really acceptable for it to have a wired connection and fail to notice it and demand wifi when wire is already connected.
