I have both quantal and raring boxes. I have urxvt set as the x
-terminal-emulator on both. For the last few days, the x-terminal-
emulator setting in alternatives has been reverting to the default
(konsole) at what seems like 30 minute intervals.

It's not related to login/logout or reboot as the raring machine remains
permanently logged in.

I've tried using galternatives, and update-alternatives to change the
setting, but the same happens with both. It runs urxvt for a while and
then reverts to konsole.

I've grepd for 'alternatives' in /etc/cron* and haven't found anything.
I've tried changing the awk alternative to something non-default and it
stayed set, so the problem doesn't affect all packages.

Last night, everytime it changed the symlink in /etc/alternatives was
time stamped  *:37 or *:07. Today it's *:11 or *:41.

To reproduce, run 'update-alternatives --config x-terminal-emulator' and
set to urxvt. Wait half an hour and check /etc/alternatives/x-terminal-
emulator.
