Public bug reported:
1)
Description: Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS
Release: 12.04
2)
network-manager-gnome:
Installed: 0.9.4.1-0ubuntu2.3
Candidate: 0.9.4.1-0ubuntu2.3
Version table:
*** 0.9.4.1-0ubuntu2.3 0
500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise-updates/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
0.9.4.1-0ubuntu2 0
500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main amd64 Packages
3)
I expect the network-manager to accept wireless passwords of any length. (Perhaps with a warning for short ones.)
4)
Wireless passwords that are too short are impossbile to enter using nm-connection-editor until they reach a minimum length. In this case a coffee shop with the wireless password framed on the wall for all to see.
** Affects: wireless-tools (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
