[Bug 1188864] [NEW] /dev/pts not getting mounted before install

Public bug reported:

When trying to install ubuntu-server, right after starting the install
from the boot menu, I get a constant stream of errors on the console and
it goes no further:

'can't get a pty: No such file or directory'

We found that /dev/pts was mounted in the images from 20130606 (which
worked) but not 20130607.2

cjwatson pointed out a recent change after some debugging:
* debian/extra/udev.startup: Drop devpts mounting again, already done by
/usr/share/initramfs-tools/init.

** Affects: systemd (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Critical
     Assignee: Colin Watson (cjwatson)
         Status: In Progress
