The problem is also fixed by replacing the line 27 in the script
/etc/init/plymouth-stop.conf

exec /bin/plymouth quit

with

exec /bin/plymouth quit --retain-splash

Bug description:
  The Ubuntu 13.04 installer outputs the message "Please remove installation media..." into a wrong console
  while finishing installation in VirtualBox: the message is shown in the 7th console while the active console is the 1st
  (see screenshots attached).

  The same problem is encountered by other people:
