In the Ubuntu GNOME Live session, the background is being set to a solid
blue background rather than the image of the gnome blinds that should be
set.

It looks like casper is wiping the picture-uri setting during boot

>From boot, a series of backgrounds are getting set, by the time we land at ubiquity screen.
1. blue blinds (very briefly)
2. solid grey 
3. solid blue + ubiquity screen
