Please move the .so file from the library to the dev package.

And maybe deal with the symbols-declares-dependency-on-other-package
lintian warning. I'd guess that you want to change the symbols file
dependency to be on the library package itself and add a dep on
whoopsie-preferences to the library package.

But besides that, looks fine. The code itself can skip normal security
auditing concerns, since it's been in main for a while. Would be nice
to see some tests, but not a blocker.

Title:
  [MIR] whoopsie-preferences

Status in “whoopsie-preferences” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
This is a main inclusion request for whoopsie-preferences, a DBus
daemon to control the enabled flag in /etc/default/whoopsie and
obtaining the system identifier (either the SHA512 of the system UUID
or the MAC address of the first network interface) to form the final
part of the URL that displays a system's error reports.

This package will be used by activity-log-manager and ubuntu-system-
settings. The code previously existed in activity-log-manager, which
is already in main, but I've factored it out so that we could use it
  in ubuntu-system-settings.

  ~daisy-pluckers maintains it.
