Title:
[keymap] Advent 8117: Volume control keys lock keyboard
Status in “systemd” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
When I adjust the volume on my laptop using the keys (Fn+F5/F6) the
keys repeat (making the volume go all the way up/down) and then try to
continue increasing/decreasing.
Not only can I not adjust the volume properly (set to a medium vol) I
can no longer use any text input field (the keyboard no longer works),
and the system icons (top right, volume etc.) no longer respond to
mouse clicks.
First noticed on 13.04, but same problem found with 12.10 (usb boot).
Is there some driver I need to install to fix this? (Advent laptop 8117, intel dual core T2080 1.73GHz)
BIOS doesn't apear to be updateable
