Title:
installation of kubuntu 12.04 from usb crashes

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
I wanted to update to the latest LTS Kubuntu 12.04. I put the iso
image on a usb stick (4gb, emptied by usbdiskcreator). After booting
from the usb and choosing the installation option, installation starts
ok. I select the automatic creation of partitions (it suggests to
shrink the existing windows partition by creating a new one with new
Kubuntu; an existing partition where Kubuntu is installed now remains
the same). Then there is a screen with timezone setting and keyboard
scheme and then the installation crashes.
