Title:
Partition manager bombs trying to create btrfs

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity

I took a laptop which started with:

     /dev/sda1: xfs (32G) (lucid)
     /dev/sda2: xfs (32G) (mav)
     /dev/sda3: xfs (32G) (natty)
     /dev/sda5: LVM (220G)

I booted from April 5ths natty desktop image, and specified manual
partitioning. I did fool around a bit in the partition tool, adding
and removing partitions. In the end I believe I had:

     /dev/sda1: xfs (30G) on /
     /dev/sda2: xfs (30G) unmounted
     /dev/sda3: xfs (30G) unmounted
     /dev/sda5: swap (8G)
     /dev/sda6: btrfs (100G) on /btr
     /dev/sda7: unused (100G)

I clicked through, chose a timezone, then got a popup saying that
there had been an error mounting (or maybe creating) /dev/sda6.

It threw me back to the partition manager, which showed:

     /dev/sda1 xfs /btr 32G
     /dev/sda2 xfs /btr 32G
     /dev/sda3 xfs /btr 32G
     /dev/sda5 swap /btr 8G
     /dev/sda6 (none) /btr 98M
     /dev/sda7 (none) /btr 215G

but wouldn't allow me to delete any partitions. Syslog (attached in a
moment) shows messages about sda now being readonly.
