Title:
ubiquite fails to check internet connection on-the-fly

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity

Ubiquity (here - the KDE version, but should be the same uon GNOME)
fails to recognize a connected internet when the connection is
established AFTER the start of ubiquity.

Scenario (as I did): unlug your internet, start the (K)Ubuntu CD, select Install (without testing first, so you can't restart ubiquity easily), go to the first page.
It tells you thet there is no internet connection available. You now recognize this and plug in your connection (because maybe you forgot to start the modem/router etc.) - ubiquity denies to recognize this change, even clicking on back/forward does not make a change.
The average user has to reboot.

I don't know how ubiquity checks for the internet connection, but can
it be done by hotplugging check?
