Title:
Grub misconfiguration in the installation of Ubuntu 7.04

Status in “grub” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
I just installed Ubuntu 7.04 Beta in my Inspiron 600m. All the
installation was smooth. When the computer restarted, the grub
reported "Error 15: File not found". I had to modify the entry in the
grub created by the installer. For some reason was pointing to the
root partition instead of the boot partition.

  My Partitions configuration:
  /dev/sda1 32MB ext2 /boot/
  /dev/sda2 1024MB swap
  /dev/sda3 25600MB /home/
  /dev/sda2 12539MB /

I just change the root of each entry in the menu.lst file and remove
the string "/boot/" from the beginning of the lines kernel and initrd.
