Title:
ubi-partman failed with exit code 141

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity

  Hi,

While trying to install Lucid Alpha 2 of Feb 20th 2010 in Virtualbox, I got this message when the partitioning tool started:
«ubi-partman failed with exit code 141. Further information may be found in /var/log/syslog. Do you want to try running this step again before continuing? If you do not, your installation may fail entirely or may be broken.»

You'll find the syslog log as and attachment.

Else, I tried to manage by partitioning with cfdisk as root, then mkfs.ext4 to the / partition created, which worked perfectly, but now ubi-partman wants to do strange things with the partitions, so I took a screenshot:

Now I click on "continue" and now, it starts shrinking the partition I did for him ! /o\ !
It seems that after this step it has created 2 more partitions, despising the job done before, as the shown in the next screenshot.

Finally while I was filling the report here, Ubiquity crashed and it's
being sending a new report now with all informations gathered from the
  running virtual machine.

  Regards,
  Mélodie
