Syntax error /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/01autoremove-kernels
Status in “apt” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Did a normal update of Ubuntu 12.04 via Software Updater. Restart
requested. After restart Software Updater does not want to run/open
and red "error/stop" icon is displayed in the top right toolbar. The
error message is:
E: Syntax error /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/01autoremove-kernels:1: Extra junk
at end of file
Tried running sudo apt-get in various forms but always errors with above message.
Tried running Synapitic, program exist with same error.
Software Updater does not respond to mouse clicks.
01autoremove-kernels is a compiled file - unable to edit.
Thanks
