Title:
ntfs-3g repeatedly retries mounting and fails

Status in “ntfs-3g” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ntfs-3g

Seen in Karmic Koala. Last week it simply would not mount a Win 7 ntfs
partition. After the update from today (Oct 13), it still fails, but I
notice that there is constant CPU activity. When I look at "top" I see
"mount.ntfs-3g" appearing with a new PID every refresh, using up to
  27% cpu.
