In my /etc/crypttab I've got only one line with "lukslvm UUID=…".
So no "lvm=/dev/…". That's good from what I read in your comment #8,
isn't it?

Title:
/scripts/local/cryptroot can't find /dev/mapper/vgubuntu-root
Status in “cryptsetup” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
I upgraded my netbook from Ubuntu 12.04 to 12.10 and now it won't boot.
It is encrypted using cryptsetup and a LVM with a sperate home partition, that means 4 partitions in total:
- /dev/sda1 unencrypted, mounted to /boot
- /dev/sda2 encrypted as lukslvm containing vgubuntu-root (/), vgubuntu-home (/home) and swap
After I've typed in my password, I get the following error message:
/scripts/local/cryptroot: line 1: can't open /dev/mapper-vgubuntu-root: no such file
Then, some other processes are started but at some point everything
just stops and I don't get to a working system.
I appreciate any kind of help. My computer simply doesn't work at all
so I'd be glad if this could be solved soon. Thanks.
