Public bug reported:
network-interface-security is currently installed with ifupdown from
what I can see. The description of this script indicates that it is used
simply to load apparmor profiles before the network is brought up. It
may be more appropriate for this to be a separate package installed as a
dependency to apparmor or have the script installed as part of the
apparmor setup. The current behavior drops this script into the
/etc/init directory without apparmor being installed on a base-file only
install of ubuntu-minimal 12.04.1 LTS essentially leaving an orphaned
script on install.
dpkg -S /etc/init/network-interface-security --> Installed by ifupdown
dpkg -l apparmor --> shows apparmor not installed
** Affects: ifupdown (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
