Title:
Always says "...since Ubuntu 12.10 was released" in a guest session
Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
update-manager 1:0.174.3, Ubuntu 12.10
1. Install the release version of Ubuntu.
2. In a normal user account, open Software Updater, revealing the first-time text "Updated software has been issued since Ubuntu {version} was released. Do you want to install it now?"
3. Install updates.
4. Wait until more updates become available.
5. Any time later -- even months later -- log in to a guest session.
6. Run Software Updater.
What you see: "Updated software has been issued since Ubuntu {version}
was released. Do you want to install it now?"
What you should see: "Updated software is available for this computer.
Do you want to install it now?"
It may save time to fix bug 1025669 at the same time as this bug.
