[Bug 1099760] [NEW] "Broken unity: Depends on compiz-core-abiversion-20120927" causing quantal to raring desktop upgrade failures

Public bug reported:

"Broken unity:i386 Depends on compiz-core-abiversion-20120927" and
"Broken unity:amd64 Depends on compiz-core-abiversion-20120927" errors
are causing the quantal to raring desktop upgrade failures.

As could be noticed this error occurs on both amd64 and i386 desktop
upgrades.

1. Install quantal desktop
2. use do-release-upgrade to upgrade to raring

The logs from a failed upgrade are attached herewith.

The daily automated jobs that are impacted and containing logs are,
