Title:
12.04 erases identical hd and creates raid without user permission

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
My secondary and tertiary hard disks are identical (500GB Western
Digital AT3500320AS). Upon upgrade from 11.10, Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
reformatted my secondary hard disk and set it up in a Raid 1
configuration with my tertiary hard disks. It should be noted that my
tertiary hard disk has a few bad sectors, but on a whole, still
functions and stores data just fine.

I expected my system to upgrade to 12.04 LTS without modifying my hard
drive configuration and erasing all my data. Instead, Ubuntu 12.04
modified my hard disk configuration and erased my secondary hard
  drive.

Not sure what other info you will need regarding this bug. Just ping
me and I'll gladly provide it.
