Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: update-manager

  Up to date Karmic UNR system.

  I've got a problem that update-manager on any action (Check|Install Updates) shows dialog with the message "Waiting for other software managers to quit", which does not go away. After cancelling there is another dialog pops-up saying:
  "Failed to download repository information

  Check your Internet connection"

  Aptitude performs update and safe-upgrade without any problems.
