Title:
Automount of luks encrypted DVD fails
Status in “cryptsetup” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
I have created an encrypted UDF file system on a DVD. If I insert the DVD into the drive it prompts for the pass phrase but then it fails with the following message:
"Error unlocking device: cryptsetup exited with exit code 1: device-
mapper: reload ioctl failed: Invalid argument"
I can manually mount the device if I specify the "-r" option.
* Open the DVD without the "-r" option:
$ sudo cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/sr0 d1
Enter passphrase for /dev/sr0:
device-mapper: reload ioctl failed: Invalid argument
* Open the DVD with the "-r" option:
$ sudo cryptsetup -r luksOpen /dev/sr0 d1
Enter passphrase for /dev/sr0:
$ sudo cryptsetup status d1
/dev/mapper/d1 is active.
