** Changed in: update-notifier (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Triaged
** Description changed:
Binary package hint: update-notifier
Whenever resume my computer from hibernating (over night or more) I get
the "The update information is outdated" warning. Yes, of course it is
outdated--the computer was off. If I update manually, it goes away,
even if there were no new updates to install. Update-notifier needs to
be aware of this common scenario and not present a warning, because this
is normal behaviour. Instead, it should trigger an automatic update
once it regains a network connection. Basically, update-manager should
treat suspend/hibernate identically to the computer being off. This may
be related to bug #392603.

+ due to check for updates, [Ubuntu] should try to check one minute after
+ the first time any administrator connects to the Internet."
