Title:
  Precise alternate install CD fails

Status in “debian-installer” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Trying to install Precise (64 bit) on Toshiba Satellite T235D.
  Alternate CD image "burned" to a USB flash drive. Install seems to go
  well until we reach 85% in the "Select and install software" step --
  text below progress bar says "checking" for one second then failure
  screen appears.
