Title:
Upstart appears not to log daemon configuration errors

Status in “upstart” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
upstart seems not to log anywhere even if a daemon fails to load due
  to bad configuration.

  Steps:

  1. put some garbage in sshd_config so that ssh server won't run
  2. start with upstart 'sudo service ssh start'
  3. check status 'service ssh status' -- it's stopped,
  4. nothing in syslog or auth.log
