Err, this is a laptop right?  I don't suppose you can remove the
battery?

As an alternative, when grub stops and waits for input, press and hold
the power to shut the computer off, then turn it back on and see if it
waits this time.

Bug description:
  On my Lenovo E130 I've got a problem: Everytime I resume after
  hibernate grub asks me for input (I have to press Return).

  I've only got Ubuntu installed on my notebook. After a restart grub
  doesn't ask me for an input but stays quiet how it should be.
