Err, this is a laptop right? I don't suppose you can remove the
battery?
As an alternative, when grub stops and waits for input, press and hold
the power to shut the computer off, then turn it back on and see if it
waits this time.

Title:
Grub asks for input
Status in “grub2” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
On my Lenovo E130 I've got a problem: Everytime I resume after
hibernate grub asks me for input (I have to press Return).
I've only got Ubuntu installed on my notebook. After a restart grub
doesn't ask me for an input but stays quiet how it should be.
