Title:
xte (xautomation) num lock doesn't work properly

Status in “udisks” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I'm using Lubuntu 12.10 with xte v1.03 from the package xautomation
1.03-1.1. I use xte in order to flash the numlock keyboard LED when a
new mail arrives. It used to work perfectly in Ubuntu, but since I
upgraded to Lubuntu 12.10 it doesn't anymore.

  I use this command:
  xte "key Num_Lock"

Which should invert the numlock state. So when numlock is off, "xte
"key Num_Lock"" should enable it and vice versa.

Well, it does invert the numlock state, but it doesn't change the LED
on the keyboard. So when numlock is off, and you give the xte command,
numlock will be enabled, but the numlock LED on the keyboard won't
show that numlock is enabled. It used to work correctly in Ubuntu, but
  now it doesn't work anymore.
