Please provide details of the exact image type and version numbers
(.disk/info) and steps to reproduce the problem?

12.04.2 test results are here
http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/milestones/254/builds
12.04.3 test results are here
http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/milestones/301/builds
daily automated test results are here:

and all of them are passing. The oem tests explicitly verify that the
shortcut is present.

[*] alternate oem amd64 did go red with 21st december image, but that
hasn't been verified yet, there have been networking issues in the lab
over the past 2 days.

Title:
oem-config not installed after initial installation in oem install
  mode

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
After an initial installation in OEM mode, oem-config (nor oem-config-
gtk) are installed and "Prepare for Shipping" script launcher is not
  available.

  It seems that
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/984736 has
reared it ugly head again but this time in Ubuntu 12.04.2.

Will you please fix it again?

  The workaround is:

  sudo apt-get install oem-gtk-config

The cp the appropriate file from /usr/share/applications/ to
  ~/Desktop

Thanks so much. I really appreciate all your work on the project as
well as your assistance and sharing of your talents.
