It'd be helpful were you to add the log file /var/log/dist-
upgrade/main.log to the bug report.  Just removing the sources files in
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/ is not enough, you may need to revert back to
the official version of the ubuntu package for the upgrade to complete.
You can do that with the tool 'ppa-purge', however you'll need to readd
the PPAs you removed so the tool can determine which packages came from
PPAs.  Good luck!

  While trying to upgrade to Ubuntu 13.10 (saucy) from 13.04 (raring)
  via 'do-release-upgrade', I received the following error:
