pkexec is not fully compatible with gksu, and gdebi relies on some gksu
features to work. I'm not inclined to touch this area unless a tested
patch is uploaded to this bug report.

Title:
Switch gdebi to pkexec
Status in “gdebi” package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
Well gksu isn't default installed anymore & 64 bit users run into the su mode deal, gksu-polkit isn't suitable either
So makes no sense to keep using gksu in gdebi.
