Bug description:
  php5-cli have a Readline extension.
  http://php.net/readline

  PHP on Ubuntu is compiled using the libedit library instead of GNU
  Readline.

  readline() wont accept some characters such as åäö.
  Test case: $ php -r "readline('>');"
