I can not seem to reproduce this on recent (13.04 and later) versions of
Ubuntu.  Could you please confirm this is still reproduceable?

Bug description:
  As described above. For example it happens to me when I want to save a document. The control-buttons (Save, Print etc.) are not fully shown. It doesn't happen only to evince but to several other gnome-apps (evolution etc ...).
  I'll attach a screenshot to clarify what I mean.
