Much thanks for your reply.
- AFAIK, hardlinks do not work for folders :-(
- I thought, your apply-patch request was meant for confirming the fix.
- I think, I can live with the error until release, or use your nice trick.
- interesting, how Windows handles it e.g., attrib "..\my_Target" doesn't work, but attrib *rget
- What is the normal time schedule for a fix like that?

Title:
  ntfs relative symlink not resolved

Status in “ntfs-3g” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  - Create relative symlink with matching path deepth >= 2 on Windows 7 machine using e.g. LSE [1]
  - Reboot with Ubuntu and mount that NTFS partition
  - In properties of that non-working symlink, nautilus shows as target path:
    "../..\my_NTFS_target"
So the 2nd back-slash is the problem
