Furthermore I'm successfully running Ubuntu 12.10 and I was successfully
running 12.04 on a virtual machine, both of which I installed through
the graphical installer without a hitch.

Bug description:
Ubuntu 13.04 daily build downloaded on 15th of March and daily build downloaded on 18th of March
VirtualBox 4.2.10 r84104
Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack installed.
1 vCPU
2GB RAM
128MB of Video Memory
1) Chose 'Install Ubuntu' when booting from the ISO
2) Ticked 'Install this third-party software' (didn't tick the 'Download updates while installation' box)
3) Chose:
Erase disk and install Ubuntu
Encrypt the new Ubuntu installation for security
Use LVM with the new Ubuntu installation
4) Entered security key (didn't tick the 'Overwrite empty disk space'
5) Locale configuration
6) Account configuration
7) 'Encrypt my home folder' and clicked 'Continue'
After two minutes the installer changes to show the progress bar and
after that a couple of minutes the installer crasher when 'Installing
language packs'.
Exactly the same thing happens with WMware Player 5.0.2 build-1031769 at 'Installing language packs' stage.
