The same crash occurred again (once) with 20130415 amd64 installations
with German language preseed.  The following could be seen in this case
similar to that in comment #3

  Ubiquity crashed during preseeded installation of raring desktop

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  This crash occurred during the preseeded minimal config installation
  of i386 raring desktop on a VM with 20130306 image.

  This appears to be a one-time occurrence since the consecutive run has
  not seen this crash. Also the amd64 installation was fine as well.

  Steps to run the min-config tests: (default installation with 5G disk space)
  1. utah is used for automated installation, the how to is given in http://utah.readthedocs.org/en/latest/introduction.html#how-to-start-running-tests)

  2. The preseed and the run list are as follows and the test could be
  run using the following command,

        sudo -u utah -i run_utah_tests.py -i /var/cache/utah/iso/raring-
  desktop-i386.iso -p lp:ubuntu-test-
  cases/desktop/preseeds/min_config.cfg lp:ubuntu-test-
  cases/desktop/runlists/min_config.run --gigabytes 5 -n -d -x /etc/utah
  /bridged-network-vm.xml
