why do you think this is an error in the test case? From my point of
view it is wrong to run the tests with stdin redirected to /dev/null.
** Changed in: python2.7 (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Incomplete
** Also affects: autopkgtest (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New

Status in “python2.7” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
testStdin from the python2.7 regression testsuite failed when run with
autopkgtest [1] with the error below because adt-run redirects stdin

FAIL: testStdin (test.test_file2k.OtherFileTests)
