I think this is probably OK - both tomcat6/7 support > 3.2 and default
to 4.2 upstream.

Bug description:
  let's update ecj (via a sync) to a version supporting Java7. Maybe a
  bit late for the release cycle, however the code is already there in
  the eclipse package (3.8.1).
