Title:
An unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package
information; "E:Type 'ain' is not known on line 3 in source list
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/ehoover-compholio-precise.list"
Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
I'm using Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS.
I installed the Netflix app a few hours ago, as well as the Q4Wine and Winetricks apps. When I booted up just now, the caution-icon appeared on the desktop; mousing over it showed the message, "A problem occurred when checking for the updates." So I ran Update Manager and got the following message:
"Could not initialize the package information
An unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package
information.
Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and
include the following error message:
'E:Type 'ain' is not known on line 3 in source list
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/ehoover-compholio-precise.list'`".
I'm guessing that "ehoover-compholio" is the source for the Netflix
app? If so, what would you suggest, please?
