  PPC Desktop installation CD boots to blank screen

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  The Desktop image from 2012-09-23 appears to boot, but goes only to a
  blank, black screen.  No installer dialog or even a mouse is visible.
  No consoles appear to be available either.
